Eating plenty of fruit and vegetables can help you to lose weight as they are low in calories, high in volume and contain lots of important nutrients – in other words they fill you up without loading you with fat and calories. 

We all know that the recommended intake of fruit and vegetables  is to eat  five or more portions a day, which many people find quite difficult to acheive, but if you are really serious about sensible weight loss and good health, then you really should make a big effort to include as many different fruits and vegetables in your diet as you can.  Not only will they help to take away hunger pangs and help to stop you for reaching for the sugary snacks, but will also make you feel better physically.  As your levels of beneficial nutrients increase, you will have more energy to be more active, so in turn you will burn off more calories.
