About Sensible Slimming


Hello there and welcome to SensibleSlimming.

I’m sure that, like me, you  are fed up with “going on a diet”, spending loads of money, eating boring food – and not getting anywhere!

There are so many fad diets out there – and believe me, I’ve tried many of them.  They all claim to be the answer I’ve been waiting for – this is going to be the one that finally works.  I throw myself into it, do well for a while, then eventually get bored with eating the same old things and gradually slip back into old eating habits – sound familiar?  Before you know it, the weight has crept back on again and usually a bit more on top.

Well, over the years I have come to the conclusion that diets don’t work, which led me into finding ways to live a “real” life – a life where I can enjoy the foods I love and not be tied down by unrealsitic eating regimes that are not sustainable in the long term.

Obviously this does mean that you have to modify your lifestyle and eating habits to a large degree – we all know that you won’t get slim by eating crisps, cream cakes, chocolate, junk food etc.  But there are ways you can change your habits without giving up all the things you love.

I have at last managed to achieve my ideal weight and am keeping it fairly stable.  This is what led me to set up SensibleSlimming, so that I can share with you what I have learned over the years to help you to reach your goals and finally set yourself free from the “yo-yo” diet trap.
