The UK is still gripped by snow and Arctic conditions, which is making getting  out and about pretty difficult.  But there is no need to hibernate and make the snow an excuse to over-eat and miss out on exercise.

I know for many people that getting outside will not be easy, but for those of you able-bodied people there is lots you can do to burn calories in the snow and  have some fun at the same time.

How I Make Time For Exercise Every Day

Walking For Weight Loss

 Walking is a very easy and great way to get you moving and at the same time helping you to achieve your weight loss goals.  You can do it by yourself, with friends or family, even the dog and is a suitable form of exercise for any age.

 In order to gain the most benefit from walking for weight loss, you need to walk briskly, so that your heart rate quickens a little, but you are still able to easily hold a conversation.  You need to build it up gradually so that you start off slowly and warm up your muscles for 5 or 10 minutes before you quicken your pace otherwise you may risk causing yourself an injury, as with any form of exercise.
